This is England
4.5/5
i had no idea what this was about when i started it
but enjoyed the 80s flashback, and was surprised at the heart and honesty of the story
and the boys big old girlfriend, every boy should be so lucky :)

it was okay, not as good as i would have hoped
should have been called, ‘the kids are all right even though the parents are totally self absorbed’
3/5
i liked this one better the second time i saw it
thora birch can play crazy evil well
its a shame her weirdo dad had to ruin her career, i miss her in movies :(
3.5/5
was a lot better than i thought it was gonna be
justin timberlake should do more movies
he reminds of lucille ball—maybe its the hair :)
funny, heartfelt, the sentiments in this movie felt genuine
4/5
beautifully shot and edited
i can imagine this was hard for some to follow
seems like a film that would have received better reviews if aronofsky had waited til later in his career to make
recommended, when you have the time to pay attention
3/5
with steve buscemi and michael pitt how can you go wrong
i loved their love/hate relationship
and how pitts character got typecast as the homeless youth
3.5/5
i enjoyed this one
a fun watch for a lazy afternoon
4.5/5
i praise these actors ability to bring realism to the characters they portray
the US ratings system maddens me
5/5
you should feel what i feel
you should take what i take
4/5
this was directed by the same guy who did beginners, i can tell
he has a sense about him and a way of telling a story
i connected more with thumbsucker than i did with beginners, but it still felt like somethings missing
still, i do recommend it :)
